Black History Month 2025
This February we celebrate Black History Month! It’s a chance for us to reflect upon the diversity of Black communities in North America, and to honor the contributions of Black Americans and Canadians.
As part of this commitment, and in honor of February being Black History month Acrisure US will be hosting a Wednesday speaker series with the theme “Inclusive Journeys: Building Bridges of Belonging.” Fostering connections and collaboration across our organization is central to who we are. This series aims to enhance our commitment to inclusion and provide a platform to inform and grow in knowledge about your fellow colleagues.
Canada’s official theme this year is “Black Legacy & Leadership: Celebrating Canadian History & Uplifting Future Generations.” One of our Canadian universities, Queens, has some fantastic free resources available: Black History Resources for people of all ages and backgrounds, including podcasts, reading lists, museums and more.
As we celebrate Black History Month, let’s take this opportunity to learn, reflect, and engage in meaningful conversations. By embracing diverse perspectives and honoring the contributions of Black communities, we strengthen our commitment to inclusion and belonging. Together, we can continue building a culture of respect, appreciation, and unity this month and beyond.
